2014 Today's Techniques Northern Classic
Bodybuilding, Physique, Fitness, Figure & Bikini Championships
(Fort St. John, B.C. - June 7, 2014)
The 13th year for this competition and the first for 'Twixpix' coverage, promoter Jeni Briscoe put on an amazing event. 150 or
so entries, a record turnout by over 50%! If you thought a show way up north would be an 'easy win', think again. The open
categories and even some of the Masters rivaled the bigger entry level shows in terms of competitiveness and quality.

Starting with Bikini, Sandeep Sira was perfectly dialed in for this show, a well deserved overall title. Great other
class winners in Chrystal Jones and Leanne McFarland, plus some veteran competitors and first timers hotly contesting
those Provincial qualifying top 3 positions.
Turning to figure, Fort St. John's Denean Arntson (who is already a qualified National competitor in the Masters
category), brought a tight look to the stage to set her sights on the open class at higher levels.

Men's Bodybuilding was quite a showdown for the overall title with the 'classic' look of Ali Najafian the judges
choice with probably a few votes going to heavyweight Tyler Witthoeft who's got a super future in this sport. Women's
Physique is firmly entrenched as the choice of expression in the posing categories, an excellent top 3 here. Men's
Physique...Nathaniel Werner is clearly headed for bigger and better things. Great choice!
