2021 NPC Idaho Cup
Bodybuilding, Physique, Fitness, Figure, Wellness & Bikini Championships

Allison Wergin - 1st Place Overall - Open Bikini
It's been a couple of years since we've made the trek to Boise to cover an NPC show, this time being the Craig/Ribic Productions Idaho Cup. Covering this show was part of a roadtrip which started with the NPC Night of Champions 2 weeks earlier and will (at the time of this writing) end with the Northwests in a week. Here is the report on the Womens' categories. Starting with Bikini, a mix of those competing in multiple recent Northwest shows plus a good contingent from Utah and of course Idaho. Prepared meticulously as always, Christine Sim handily took Open 'A' Class and BTW the Masters Overall title too. 'B' Class was won by eventual Overall winner Allison Wergin, great conditioning/shape. This class also saw the return of Talla Amini to the competition stage, notables included photogenic Diana Lagunas (3rd) and from Utah, Jadie Alfonso (4th). Sara Roy won 'C' Class and last but definitely NOT least in a tight battle for the Overall was Steph Warden winning 'D' Class...originally from Canada she's been to Pro Qualifiers on both sides of the border...on track for US Nationals coming up in December! A great look for offstage photography as we put together a last minute gym shoot for the next day. Thanks to The Mecca Gym in Meridian for the shoot location. Of note in the Bikini Novice classes were the aforementioned Jadie Alfonso, plus Demi Weese, both standouts with a bright future in the sport.
Vanessa Arteaga - 1st Place Overall - Wellness
Wellness saw some novice competitors rise to the top, Vanessa Arteaga in particular of course, but a very strong challenge from Lainey Blackwood, both I know we'll hear more from in the future! True Novice (and Open) competitor Lyza Waters has the structure and proportionality to go far in the sport as well, a good showing here.
Martina Motika - 1st Place Overall Figure
Martina Motika ruled the day in Figure, good sized muscle shapes for starters. Olivia Romero and Heather Alderson traded placings a couple times in very close Masters Classes...a busy day for both with Heather also competing in Wellness.
