2022 NPC Empire Classic

(Spokane, WA - April 23, 2022)
Amelia Brito - 1st Place Overall - Open Bikini
The trilogy of early Ribic Productions shows started this year in Spokane with the Empire Classic. Good sized classes and a LOT of new competitors and those who've made nice improvements over the last year(s) to progress in the sport. Starting with Bikini, four strong Open classes. 'A' featured national level competitor Kimber Buehler looking very prepared to take on the new season. 'B' Class winner was new to the sport Alexis Waters, cleaned up in her True Novice, Novice classes as well, a comfortable model look onstage. 'C' Class went to photogenic Schronna Vong, and not surprisingly took her Novice Class as well. 'D' Class was where eventual Overall winner Amelia Brito emerged from. She had a great learning experience at the NPC Vancouver Open a few weeks earlier (which we covered here) and tweaked things to take a very tight Overalls round.
Hailey Seltenreich - 1st Place Overall Figure
Figure Open Classes were relatively small, Hailey Seltenreich (who also won Women's Physique) has a dynamite shape/proportionality for this division. She took 'A' class and Overall. Crossover athlete Sarra Arras (Bikini) took 'B'. Last but DEFINITELY not least in the categories where Overalls were contested was Wellness. Overall winner came out of 'B' Class, nice improvements from Yaneli Navarate to take it. Class 'A' had VERY conditioned Amanda Wilson catching everyone's attention, striations, etc. which aren't the criteria for the division, awarded 6th place and more importantly a chance for her to now tweak things for her next show and find her niche in the sport. Really impressive though.
