2022 NPC Emerald Cup Women's Bodybuilding, Physique and Wellness Championships (Bellevue, WA - April 29 - 30, 2022) Always the highlight of the Northwest NPC competition year, the Emerald Cup just celebrated its 40th anniversary in exciting fashion! It's now in the very capable hands of Ivan and Erin Ribic, with continued advice and help of Brad and Elaine Craig. A special award honored them during Finals on Day 2, truly inspirational. On to our coverage of Wellness, Women's Physique and Women's Bodybuilding...starting with the extremely gaining in popularity Wellness Division. After a dissapointing previous week from a judging point of view to 'fit' the category, Amanda Wilson tweaked her look to bring a fuller and dominating physique to the stage, an impressive future Pro no doubt! She won Open 'A' Class and Overall. 'B' winner Kelly Lofquist also stood out, a great choice there. Of note were Bikini crossovers Jennalyn Florendo and Marlen Castellanos (who's passion is more Bikini), both adding pizzazz to the stage presentations. Top placers also included Cristell Saldivar and Yaneli Navarrete, great looks for the category. While WPD and Women's Bodybuilding were not large in number, outstanding winners in Andi James (amazing proportionality and muscle shapes) and Dana Richards (killer size) respectively. A huge thanks to Promoters Ribic & Craig Productions, volunteers and the dedicated competitors who keep this sport growing. The Pacific Northwest is a special place when it comes to the NPC community with everybody pitching in to make each others' shows as successful as possible.
