2016 BCABBA British Columbia Provincial
Bodybuilding, Fitness, Physique, Figure, & Bikini Championships - Day 1
(Vancouver, B.C. - July 9-10, 2016)
In another big change for the British Columbia Amateur Bodybuilding Association, this prestigious event waa combined with the IFBB
Vancouver Pro show to create a two day competition extravaganza never before seen in this city! Day 1 featured Bodybuilding, Women's Physique,
Figure and Fitness. Starting with Women's Physique, two standouts won their respective open height classes. Colby Whelpton continues to
add muscle size to a very aesthetic look, was in great condition and took 'A' Class and also placed first in Mixed Pairs Bodybuilding with Scott
Ambler. 'B' Class and Overall was won by Northern Classic Champion Alyssa Coppolino, her proportionality and tapered look is quite phenomenal,
looking forward to both class winners tackling the next level!

Men's Bodybuilding was dominated by Pieter Van der Linde, who took both the Overall Open and Masters titles, a bright
future ahead for sure. Figure saw some very large and competitive fields. 'D' Class and Overall Winner
Martina Yakebova fine tuned her presentation to bring a more sleek look to the stage, great to see the recognition
she deserves! Runner-up in her class was transplanted Albertan Bree Balaski...beautiful lines and
destined to do very well in this sport. Of note was 'C' Class winner Kristen Mulligan who sculpted
a very top notch physique and made amazing improvements since her novice show last summer. She also took the Masters
Figure Overall title!
