Maria Sharp - Figure Medium Class
Maria first made waves at the 2006 Western Canada's, winning her height class and
qualifying her for Provincials. She spent the ensuing year filling out a lean physique
with quality size and shape. It definitely runs in the family as Maria's sister Michelle
won this very height class in 2004! She kept telling me to watch for Maria at
Provincials this year and as advertised, looked great so a different type of 'waves' this
time...a fun shoot with a little help from Michelle :) A bit about Maria, as a fitness
instructor for 13 years, becoming a figure competitor has inspired her to become a personal
trainer and to one day turn to figure coaching. Fitness has been her life and she's got a
true passion for it and to help people meet their goals and have fun doing it. Her eventual
next step is Nationals whether it's next year or the year after. As mentioned above she likes
to take time to improve her body and look different each show. Special thanks from Maria to
Darren and Lara Toma
who transformed her physique over the last year and were with her every step of the way.

They also coached the other Figure class winners plus bodybuilder Wendy Lindquist to
the best shape she's ever looked onstage.
