2003 NPC Jr. Nationals
Hot Weekend in the Windy City
(June 13 - 14, 2003)

Once again, this prestigous event graced the Hyatt Regency O'Hare
in Rosemont, Illinois. With pro-cards being handed out to the
winners in each of 4 height classes, this division dominated the
proceedings, 102 competitors, everyone of whom could stop traffic
wherever photoshoots were taking place. As far as bodybuilding
goes, just as last year, could signal a changing of the guard.
As young heavyweights Sarah Dunlap and Heather Policky came
into their own at that time, the middleweight class could do
likewise in the upcoming USA's and Nationals. With
Dena Westerfield setting her sights on Nationals, the rest
of the field could be headed for a rematch at the USA's.
Elena Seiple, one of the favorites for that show was here
checking out the competition no doubt <g> and with
veterans like Michelle Ivers reportedly joining the mix,
Vegas in late July is the place to be. On a personal note,
was great to reaquaint myself with competitors from last
year and really appreciated the positive feedback. And
finally, thanks to Pam Betz for continuing to promote
these great events. For now, here's a cross-section of
some of the highlights. Enjoy!

As mentioned above, the Middleweight Division was a
particular highlight. Got carried away once I
